Morning at Bridal Veil Falls
January 20th / 2025
GETTING THERE:
From Portland, you have to take the I-84 E to Bridal Veil and then choose the exit 28 and continue in E Bridal Veil Rd until you find the Historic Columbia River Hwy and turn right there. Driving straight, you will find the sign of Bridal Veil Falls State Scenic Viewpoint and the parking area.
Once you park, go east, and you will find an entrance for the two trails close to the restrooms. There is restroom on the East side of the Parking lot.
The Bathrooms were actually very clean. Nice surprise.
Bridal Veil Falls State Scenic Area: Not far from Latourell Falls, Bridal Veil Falls is another beautiful waterfall in the Columbia River Gorge. The hike to the falls is short with a slight downhill to the creek and falls, which means a bit of an uphill to get back to your car. Perfect for beginners and for any ages. Start your journey to the falls from the Bridal Veil State Park. Parking is ample for the tourists. After few feet of steep but pleasant steps on a winding footpath, I was standing on the edge of Bridal Veil Creek. Bridal Veil Falls is a beautiful waterfall that seems almost otherworldly in its beauty. As it tumbles gracefully down a two-tiered drop, the falls resemble a delicate, flowing veil—hence the enchanting name.
Bridal Veil has a very beautiful creek to wade in or photograph
After spending some time shooting the beautiful creek, I headed towards the falls to get some close-up shots. Then came back up towards the ascending stairs to a vantage point with a good view of the falls. From there you can see the tiered falls with the upper falls dropping 60-100 feet and the lower falls dropping 40-60 feet.

The magic of this place is not just in its appearance but in the experience, it offers to those who visit.
